Looking for a great content strategist...

We’re looking to add a content strategist to our team of designers, product managers, strategists and engineers. Candidates should have strong editorial experience and should feel comfortable developing content and channel plans for a variety of digital experiences.

We’re looking for people who are:

  1. Research DrivenAt CANVAS, the Strategy team plays a key role in a project’s discovery phase, working closely with the Product team to outline potential research methods and extract insights. Our team is user-focused. We’ll turn to you to make content recommendations based on a wide array of information gathered from observations, interviews, analytics, usability testing, and general trends.
  2. InventiveCANVAS always seeks to “go beyond the brief” and find smart, unexpected approaches to digital experiences. (Hence our tagline, “See Anew.”) We see our Content Strategist playing an integral role in helping us uncover content opportunities. You understand the inextricable link between content and creative. We will rely heavily on your content development experience, system thinking skills and your expert understanding of brands to push our internal team and clients alike.
  3. Detail LovingWe prominently hang this quotation on our lunch room wall: “The details make the product.” We’ll rely on you to know our clients’ audiences and their content needs better than they know themselves. Your ability to see the big picture and dive into the nitty-gritty details of a client’s content ecosystem (and connect the two) are hugely important.
  4. EntrepreneurialThis role is part of the budding strategy team at CANVAS. We’re looking for an all-around team player who can spot gaps, take initiative to fill them and help build a process that scales. You’re positive, comfortable in a fluid environment, are passionate about content and enjoy teaching others what you’ve learned along the way.
  5. VersatileOur team stays nimble so that we can adapt our processes to fit the circumstances of different projects. We intentionally take on work in a wide-variety of industries so we’re always learning. From e-commerce sites for fashion companies to web-apps for non-profits, you’ll work on it all. We’re looking for someone fueled by this diversity, who thrives when operating in a variety of contexts; in some cases you’ll write copy for a particular page and in others you’ll develop site taxonomies and conduct in-depth content audits.

To do this job, you’ll need:
